Every piece begins with a real shell, handpicked from the UK shoreline during quiet beachcombing walks. Limpets, scallops, and tiny spiral shells are among my favourites—each chosen for its unique texture, shape, and the memories it holds.
These aren’t just pretty finds; they’re fragments of the sea’s history. Some have been tumbled smooth by decades of waves, others still bear the delicate ridges and patterns nature carved into them.

discarded, now reborn by the ocean’s patient hand. Each shard has been tumbled for years, sometimes decades, until sharp edges soften and colours deepen into dreamy shades of aqua, emerald, and amber.
Sea glass is more than just beautiful; it’s a symbol of transformation and resilience. In the From the Sea collection, these pieces are often paired with silver clay shells, or wire-wrapped on their own to showcase their natural curves and light-catching surfaces.
✨ The Creative Process
- Collecting & Selecting – After each coastal wander, shells and sea glass are carefully cleaned and sorted. Only the most striking and intact specimens make it into the studio.
- Mould Making for Shells – Using a specialist moulding compound, the shell’s intricate details are captured in perfect relief.
- Fine Silver Casting – The mould is filled with precious metal clay, which, once fired, becomes 99.9% pure silver—preserving every ridge, curve, and grain from the original shell.
- Setting Sea Glass – Each piece of sea glass is hand-shaped if needed, then set or wrapped to highlight its natural beauty without losing its organic charm.
- Finishing Touches – Hand-polishing, pairing with freshwater pearls or semi-precious stones, and adding delicate chains or ear wires complete the transformation.
